ABOUT LEA COUNTY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE
Our cooperative came to fruition in 1949 after a group of Lea County citizens banded together to develop an electrical service for people in rural areas not powered by the central station. In the beginning, we established 136 miles of electrical distribution lines that served around 1,250 consumers. Through technological advances and modern updates, we've greatly expanded our services to power more than 7,000 consumers with over 4,300 miles of energized lines. Now, we provide energy to portions of six counties in New Mexico and Texas. We take pride in helping light up our community!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MARKETING ASSISTANT / MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
As a Marketing Assistant / Member Services Representative, you effectively coordinate our advertising efforts as well as manage employee and member communications. Working under the department manager, you develop and prepare promotional material for our organization such as brochures and social media content. You use publishing software to create these advertising materials and to prepare monthly and quarterly informational newsletters. As needed, you assist your manager with developing press releases, member surveys, and advertising concepts for both print and radio.
You also manage our social media by posting regular updates and photos and appropriately responding to comments and messages. You participate in civic service organizations as well as deliver presentations to these groups and to schools to inform people about our cooperative programs. Before any member meetings, you diligently prepare and mail all necessary materials. You take pride in improving our participation in the community and helping us light up others' lives!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MARKETING ASSISTANT / MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field would be preferred but is not required. Do you have strong verbal and written communication skills? Are you highly organized and detail-oriented? Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Do you have great time management skills? Can you communicate well over the phone? If yes, you might just be perfect for this business position!
