Title: Site Program Facilitator

Classification: Non-Exempt, 20-25 hours per week

Reports To: Director of Programs

Position Summary

The Site Program Facilitator is responsible for the implementation, management, and evaluation of the assigned program site in accordance with the standards set out by the organization. The Site Program Facilitator works within the guidelines, policies, and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned.

Organization Mission

Learning Everyday Accomplishing Dreams (LEAD) is dedicated to providing the tools and resources that low-income/at-risk preteen girls must have to become productive citizens and active leaders in their communities. Using an evidence-based curriculum, LEAD encourages and mentors girls to aspire and achieve greatness academically, emotionally, and creatively. We envision a world where every girl has the confidence, social skills, and leadership ability she needs to become an independent, financially stable woman.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • LEAD Mentoring Programs and Delivery, which would include program site assigned.
  • Implement, manage, and evaluate all activities of the program in accordance with organization standards.
  • Compile, maintain, and report on the monthly, quarterly, and annual program statistics and report them to the Director of Programs.
  • Analyze trends in the program, identify issues, and develop and recommend solutions to the Director of Programs.
  • Maintain communications with the site parents and assigned volunteers including, but not limited to, e-mails, mailings, phone calls, virtual conversations, etc.
  • Facilitate assigned program sessions, for approximately 15-25 girls per session. (Typically, mornings or afternoons during the school day and Saturday mornings.)
  • Use flexibility to facilitate sessions, guided by the LEAD Girls curriculum, to deliver engaging programming and activities to meet the needs of the specific group.
  • Keep girls safe, encourage them, and promote fun while they learn to be a leader in their own life.
  • Maintain LEAD Girls registration, attendance, and program evaluation.
  • Ensure open and accurate communication to fulfill grant requirements.
  • Work the assigned program site hours.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Director of Programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm for working with diverse groups of girls primarily ages 9-16.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to be enthusiastic and adaptable.
  • Open-mindedness.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills/how to complete tasks.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • High level of professionalism.

Required Qualifications

  • Completed, or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g. Education or Social Work)
  • Commitment to pluralism.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience working with groups of children in camps or after-school programs.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner to the press and community contacts.
  • Enthusiasm about the mission of LEAD Girls of NC and the families we serve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Zoom, Google Meet/Classroom.
  • Bilingual.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • working with children in a camp/after school environment: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Winston-Salem, NC 27101 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Winston-Salem, NC 27101: Relocate before starting work (Required)
