Job Type: Maintenance Tech I
Skill Level: Intermediate -- Typically has Mechanical or 1-3 years of experience.
Position Purpose: Maintenance Tech is responsible for supporting the maintenance team, minor repairs and cleanup of equipment and work area. Technician will also be responsible for collecting and assisting with documentation of repair details, as directed by their Team Leader and or Maintenance Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Additional technical responsibilities as assigned.
· All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

· Ability to provide rapid response to emergency breakdowns on highly automated assembly line.
· Perform quick analysis and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.
· Work from mechanical and sketches, manuals, specifications, written or oral instructions.
· Ability to perform technical work related to welding and fabrication.
· Bend conduit, PM equipment, support project work, pit oil cleaning, change lightbulbs, filters and other wear parts.
· Capability to assist in the training of others on necessary skills to perform repairs.
· Skill level to operate equipment in "Teach" mode from the HMI or Teach Pendant without assistance.
· Technically skilled to facilitate the recovery of at least 50% of equipment from a technical fault without assistance.
· Technical ability to demonstrate sound mechanical knowledge.
· Prepare and set up equipment for production after repair.
· Under minimal directions, work directly from a work order.
· Perform scheduled PM's as assigned.
· Experience in the following:
- Intermediate mechanical theory
- Intermediate computer skills with use of Microsoft Office -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Position Qualifications:
· Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
· SAP / CMMS maintenance system preferred.
· Ability to pass Maintenance based aptitude testing.
· Associates degree in Mechatronics / Industrial Mechanical or 1-3 years of work experience accepted.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
· Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces from 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
· Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment
· Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
