Description:
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Prep Worker to join our team at our fried chicken restaurant. The Kitchen Prep Worker will be responsible for preparing food items, including battering chicken and other products, as well as washing dishes and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare food items, including battering chicken and other products, according to established recipes and procedures
Ensure that all food items are prepared to the appropriate temperature and are safe for consumption
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing and sanitizing equipment and utensils
Monitor inventory levels and notify the kitchen manager when supplies are running low
Assist with the receiving and storage of food deliveries
Assist with the preparation of food for cooking, including cutting, chopping, and marinating ingredients
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
Wash dishes, pots, and batter pans by hand
Adhere to food safety and kitchen safety procedures at all times
Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen prep or similar role preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Availability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
