As a Driver for the Jacksonville Salvation Army, you can expect to:
- Drive Corps truck. Operate the vehicle in a safe manner and in compliance with The Salvation Army Fleet Operation Manual.
- Assist in loading and unloading the Corps truck and/or donors’ vehicles.
- When driving, conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, maintain the interior and exterior of the truck (cab and box) in a clean and safe condition.
- Monitor the Corps truck and schedule routine maintenance to include DOT inspections and alert the supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe from Harm guidelines.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. This includes but is not limited to such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect of others’ property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers, supervisors.

What Are We Looking For?
Education & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain required license to operate the Corps truck within 90 days of hire.
Experience: One year of driving experience required.
