VISION ENGINEER
DUNCAN, SOUTH CAROLINA
NATUREOFWORK:The Vision Engineer will be Lear's expert engineer for all vision applications. The candidate will use their vast knowledge, experience, and resourcefulness to choose the correct vision system for each application. The candidate will develop the concept, design the system, install, train the receiving plant, and provide support for the vision system post handoff to the plant.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among all team members.
- Handles the vision application from concept to handoff.
- Plans and establishes project timelines and reviews with the plant.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Monitors and reviews information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Develop performance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
- Develop contingency and disaster recovery plans for vision systems.
- Willingness to travel globally - up to 50%
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a related field
- Write, implement, and debug PLC software
- Expert in RSLogix5000 and Studio5000
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude
- Expert in vision applications with vast knowledge of product available on the market
- Robust programming skills using Fanuc and/or UR robots
- Ability to read and create electrical drawings in AutoCAD
- Must be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy
- Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Completes Risk Assessments as necessary
