MATERIALS GROUP LEAD – PICKING
TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA
This is first line support work assisting the self-directed work teams on the production floor. Incumbents in this position provide support of all materials functions by assisting plant employees in regard to daily assignments, tasks, training, and work schedules to meet day to day expectations within a JIT automotive plant.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Assists in directing and coordinating the work activities of employees engaged in picking material, part presentation, lineside delivery and shipping finished goods seats to our customer
- Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and team members as needed to ensure zero downtime
- Assists in planning and establishing work schedules and job assignments to meet customer targets

Your Qualifications:
- Prior automotive and/or manufacturing and supervisory experience
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination
- College degree preferred
