What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue & Pricing Analyst III position at LEARFIELD?
Overview:
The Revenue & Pricing Analyst III will serve on the Inventory and Pricing team within the Revenue Strategy and Operations department and act as a thought leader, harnessing the power of data, applying analytics, and using technology to accelerate sponsorship revenue by developing pricing strategies, implementing revenue management operations and procedures, and instituting best practices in yield management.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement rate card pricing and packaging strategies that will contribute to our revenue growth goals.
- Establish pricing strategy and bundling for premium inventory that will help maximize revenue.
- Serve as the primary contact for all our Digital/Content teams on new ideas, pricing, and bundling with a goal to continue and expand our efforts to be first in class in Digital sales.
- Effectively communicate with various departments on operationalizing new asset availability, pricing, bundling strategy, and value.
- Accommodate ad hoc inventory pricing & benchmarking requests.
- Assist UPG/finance on pricing, value, and support on new or expansion assets for MMR requests.
- Advance the efforts of our third-party pricing studies by operationalizing the outcomes and turn those conclusions into new pricing for rate cards across the organization.
- Collaborate with our Measurement Team to establish key metrics, assess the performance of TV visible assets, and recommend changes to improve financial performance.
- Monitor trending new assets & ideas across collegiate and professional sports to find new revenue opportunities, including pricing model support for proposed 3rd party partnerships
- Translate white space value analysis into pricing and strategy/bundling for completely new assets that are unlocked.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Revenue-focused field: Revenue Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Sports Business, etc.; Master’s degree preferred.
- 4 years of pricing and revenue management experience; Sports, entertainment, Digital, and/or hospitality/travel industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner.
- High level of proficiency in data analysis with very large data sets.
- Demonstrate integrity, curiosity, creativity, and be a self-starter.
- Strong ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
