Job Posting for School Based Clinician at Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy in New London at LEARN RESC (Regional Educational Service Center)
LEARN's Student Support Services Department has an opening for a full time School Based Clinician to join our intensive outplacement team at the Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy. The desired candidate aims to serve, support and implement programing for students with complex social, emotional, behavioral and learning needs and seeks to be a part of a dynamic and collaborative community. Responsibilities will include running small social skills groups, providing individual counseling related to IEP goals and objectives, and consulting with the team regarding social, emotional, and behavioral needs and working with families, caregivers and outside agencies. The qualified candidate will have experience with and knowledge of various evidenced based practices to support students with complex social, emotional, behavioral and learning profiles. Candidates with experience in DBT, systems development related to trauma informed practice, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team are strongly encouraged to apply. Certification in School Social Work (071), Marriage and Family Therapist (268) or School Psychologist (070) required.
