Learning Avenues Child Care Centers – Vancouver, WA
Position : Learning Avenues Child Care Centers, a non-profit in southwest Washington is hiring an Assistant Teacher working with children ages 2 1/2 to 12 years old. This position works with students in multiple classrooms. This is a full-time position. Benefits available. Hiring Incentive available.
Qualifications: *Preferred College Level training in Early Childhood Education and/or related field AND*1 year consistent, paid experience working with children ages 2 1/2-12.
Required skills : *Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff *Work cooperatively with a Teaching Team *Ability to multi-task *Record observations of children *Carry out plans as needed *Room and toy cleaning as required
Must *Pass Criminal Background Check and submit to Fingerprinting if required *Pass TB test *Take 10 hours of training annually (provided) *First Aid/CPR certified *HIV/AIDS training certificate *Bloodborne Pathogen Training *Have current Food Handler’s Card *STARS 30 hour basic training or exemption *Complete other DCYF required trainings. *Be at least 18 years old
Preferred Experience: *Experience with 2 1/2 to 12 year olds in a group setting
