Job Summary:
The Sr Manager of Business Development is responsible for growing our corporate partnership and onsite child care business by sourcing and pursuing new relationships in this segment of our child care benefits program. This position will focus on our Texas market.
Essential Functions/Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with employers, benefit providers, brokers, consultants, insurance companies, networks, and associations where LCG can meet their customers’ needs with a suite of child care benefit programs for their clients (onsite child care, back-up care, funded care programs).
- Meet/exceed the customer’s (internal and external) expectations by anticipating, understanding, and meeting customer needs. Exhibit proactive communication; act and think with the customer in mind.
- Have excellent presentation skills with comfort presenting to prospects, often times being C-suite members of the company.
- Be friendly, enthusiastic and energetic with customers, co-workers, managers, and families. Promote and project a positive company image; treat others with courtesy and respect.
- Travel to prospect locations when requested or needed to close business.
- Directly market and build new revenue opportunities with prospective corporate clients, securing new service contracts for onsite partnerships and corporate partner funded care programs.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities of internal teams to provide appropriate information and communication to prospects.
- Diligently utilize Salesforce CRM to track, measure and manage business development and revenue generating activity as well as to effectively manage future call activity.
- Manage pipeline of prospects, using thorough processes to keep prospects engaged and progressing through the sales funnel.
- Strategically identify and target opportunities where we can capture market space from our competition based on understanding how our value proposition aligns to prospect’s needs.
- Effectively communicate with leadership to ensure visibility of projects by developing metrics to examine and track performance as it relates to customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- Assist with other duties as directed by supervisor.
Supervision:
Position does not have direct reports.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
Experience:
- 7 years of verifiable New Business Development experience; a hunter mentality.
- 7 years Account Management experience growing organic business.
- Operations experience in a large multi-unit organization preferred.
- Experience in Early Childhood Education or service industry preferred.
- Experience in Salesforce preferred.

Travel Percentage:
