Job Posting for Teachers needed for Childcare School Age Classroom at Learning Land Child Care
Learning Land Early Learning Programs is seeking qualified School Age Site Teachers for their School Age program, located on the East Hill of Kent, serving children ages 5-12 years of age
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Create lesson/ activity plans
- Facilitating daily homework and tutoring activities
- Work with children with a 15 to 1 ratio, assisting with structured group activities as well as serving snack, supervising free choice, and participating in recess
- Effective interpersonal skills and flexibility are a must
- Be readily available to communicate children's success and program issues to parents in a professional and positive manner.
- Make student safety a priority - make sure that students are supervised at all times.
- Be a mentor and leader, setting a positive example and role model for the children (and your staff)
- Maintain rooms that reflect preparation, organization, comfort, and cleanliness
Qualified candidates need to:
- Have at least 6mths of experience working with school-aged children in a licensed facility or classroom setting.
- Be dedicated, reliable, and organized with a strong interest in children and education
- Have a good driving record and feel comfortable driving a 15 passenger van
- Strong communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team member of a diverse and dynamic team
Hours of Position:
*Full Time, Part Time, Split Shift (school year)
*Monday- Friday

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
