Production Assistant

Leatherstocking Timber Products Inc. is a locally owned and operating company seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various production tasks and contribute to the efficient operation of our facility.

Responsibilities

· Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

· Support the team in meeting production goals

· Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed

Skills

· A woodworking background is preferred

· Ability to assemble and fabricate products accurately

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot

· Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred

· Fluent Spanish and English speaker is beneficial

· Must be reliable and have reliable transportation

· Prior experience with power tools, hand tools, and mechanical knowledge

· Strong attention to detail and quality control

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• Manufacturing facility: 2 years (Preferred)
• Machine and equipment operation: 2 years (Preferred)
