Job Overview:
The Lebanon Middle is looking to add a full time Reading/Writing specialist to our team. We are middle school grades 5 through 8 located in Lebanon NH. The ideal candidate can thrive as a member of a collaborative team and understands the needs of middle school age students.
Additionally, strong candidates should possess the following:
• Strong instructional skills and knowledge of best practices to create a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Experience working with intermediate grade students.
• The ability to collaborate with colleagues and work in a team environment.
• Strong and effective interpersonal communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Demonstrate specific training in LETRS, Wilson, OG, or another similar program.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of teaching and reading/writing instruction experience.
• NH Certification as Reading/Writing Specialist (0034 or 0037).
• Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Reading/Writing Instruction, English Language Arts, or related field preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 15 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
