Job Summary:
This position is for future work and will give you the opportunity to visit and work in the state of Indiana. You will be required to go to West Virginia for initial training, a minimum of three weeks is expected for this training, while training, traveling and working out of your home market, a live out allowance will be provided while employed with our “True Blue” team.As a Lineperson at Ledcor, you will execute work, ensure safety, and collaborate with your team to meet project goals. You will be involved with the execution of aerial and underground fiber construction while working from bucket trucks to place cable equipment. You will ensure that fiber cable is properly installed and secured to engineering specifications and industry standards.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Safely operate bucket trucks and/or other types of lifts
- Setup and operate cable placing equipment such as Larson reels, fiber blowers, cable tuggers, cable rollers, and single or double lashing tools
- Install strand and applicable hardware
- Place fiber optic, coax cables, and traceable wires
- Track and communicate daily production and materials
Qualifications:
- One to four years of experience on a Fiber instillation crew
- Ability to climb utility poles using climbing spikes and rigging, and experience operating and performing work in a bucket truck
- Proficient in new build and pole transfers; knowledge in building strand, lashing, pole transfers & grounding
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license, appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven, and a clear driver’s abstract
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and background check
Work Conditions:
- Able to travel to West Virginia for training for at least 3 weeks then transfer over to future work in Indiana
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
