Job Summary:
Ledcor is in search of a Field Construction Manager (OSP) to join a growing team responsible for development and implementation of Telecommunications projects.The Outside Plant Field Construction Manager is an integral part of the project construction team, experienced and competent in construction practices, the CM is responsible for managing day-to-day OSP field construction operations, planning, coordination, and execution of project plans under the supervision of the Project Manager and Lead Superintendent. In addition to ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, the CM promotes project safety and quality control guidelines, and works closely with other field staff, contractors, and trades people.
This work is looking to start in mid-March and candidates must be willing to travel.

Promotes a culture of health, safety and environmental protection on the project by taking an active role in the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to achieve compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OSHA acts, regulations and codes.
Ensures that OSP projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, applicable building codes, and that high-quality standards are maintained in compliance with our Project Quality Program.
Monitors construction schedule within scope and ensures milestones and completion dates are met.
Estimates duration of activities and orders materials required for project.
Recognizes and analyzes scheduling issues/delays and supports solution development.
Identifies and manages project opportunities and risks, providing guidance and direction to field staff and coordinating resources within scope, adapting plans and setting priorities to meet operational objectives.
Manages subcontractors on site with regards to costs, safety, schedule and quality expectations
Oversees the preparation of purchase order requisitions, and review of subcontractor invoices, and project close out documents; creates turnover documents, demobilizes site and archives documents.
Establishes and maintains effective communications with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression.
Serve as the qualifier or license holder for the company to fulfill the appropriate general or subcontractor licensing requirements at State, County and City Level (s) to perform construction services. This included providing reference as needed and taking all exams as required by the government entity.
Qualifications:
5 years of related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience.
Working knowledge of current construction practices and methodologies, with good understanding of OSP/Telecom documents, drawings, specifications.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and anticipate stakeholder needs.
Ability to plan and manage a project schedule, identifying constructability issues, and supporting development of solutions for moderate situations within scope of responsibility.
Ability to understand and present complex ideas, anticipate potential objections, prepare case accordingly, and persuade others to adopt a point of view.
Skilled in facilitation and conflict resolution
Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Good computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs.
