Essential Responsibilities:
Perform tasks on the labor crew to support mining operations
Sample collection, pipe laying and backfilling trenches
Ability to work long hours standing and lift up to 50lbs
Support maintenance crew in equipment service and repairs
Escort delivery trucks and maintain equipment inventory counts
Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Previous mining experience is an asset
Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of mining safety and MSHA policies
Current MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal certification is preferred
Must have valid photo identification
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Work Conditions:
Ability to work overtime may be required
Employee benefits package and 401k plan participation offered after 60 days of continuous employment
