Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks on the labor crew to support mining operations
- Have the experience or have the ability to learn, sample collection, pipe laying and backfilling trenches
- Will complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
- Previous mining experience is preferred however, not necessary
- Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of mining safety and MSHA policies
- Current MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal certification is preferred (will provide training for this certification if necessary)
- Ability to work overtime when required
