Buyer
An international company with a small local presence needs a Buyer for their growing team. If you have at least 3 years of experience – preferably in manufacturing – then consider this full-time, direct-hire role at a desirable employer that treats their employees well!
Responsibilities of the Buyer
- Purchase traded goods and raw materials
- Set up traded items in ERP system and monitor purchasing requisitions daily
- Continuously monitor and analyze production requirements to minimize on-hand inventories and ensure no shortages in direct material
- Issue purchase orders and monitor/expedite for on-time delivery
- Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers
- Research potential new suppliers and support supplier onboarding and management process
- Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors
- Participate in month-end inventory counts
- Manage inbound freight
- Maintain records
- Support and participate in local, regional, and corporate sourcing initiatives; travel up to 10%
Qualifications of the Buyer
- 3 years of buying and/or sourcing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Personable, professional demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
