Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing

A leading global manufacturer in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join the team! You’ll help customers identify the right products and services for their needs and process their orders, among other tasks. This full-time, direct-hire role is perfect for an effective communicator with at least 3 years of experience and a post-secondary degree (Associate or Bachelor). 

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing

• Assist customers via mail, email, phone, and in person
• Provide product information and suggestions to meet customer needs
• Enter and confirm customer orders
• Maintain customer accounts
• Research and help resolve customer complaints and issues
• Serves as communication link between customers and sales staff to assure responsiveness
• Calculate, invoice, and replenish consignment inventories             
• Maintain accounts receivable files and handle related inquiries
• Obtain credit information from prospective customers
• Process daily credit card deposits
• Perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications of the Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing

• Post-secondary degree and 3-5 years of customer service representative experience or equivalent
• Good listener with professional communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships and take initiative to solve problems   
• Advanced skills in MS Outlook and Excel
• Attention to detail and efficiency
• Self-motivated team player
• Open to learning and new ideas
