THE OPPORTUNITY

Your way with words knows no limits. You can transform technical topics into succinct, persuasive, and entertaining copy one day and paint with words to inspire and motivate readers the next. Your talent for storytelling can be adapted to fit a variety of mediums from website product pages, email campaigns, print collateral, and more. If joining a fast-paced marketing team where you’ll be challenged to balance multiple projects and deadlines while still having a good time, this position might be for you.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a talented Copywriter that owns the creation and optimization of ad copy, search engine optimized blog posts, product landing pages and occasional branded work for email & other channels within the digital marketing team. You will follow the lead of our Creative Strategist in creating engaging and conversion-driven copy that connects with our customers.

We’re looking for someone with a natural writing ability, a fascination with the marketing world, and a willingness to follow along, take feedback as it comes & learn as you go. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a hunger for perfecting the written word, and works extremely well with others. Excitement about working in a collaborative startup culture and dedication to the growth of both you and the company is a must!

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Writing, editing, and proofreading copy for all commercial and non-commercial content aimed at ranking better in organic search.
• Bringing the Ledge Lounger brand voice to life across all channels
• Reviewing and editing existing Ledge Lounger copy to bring it up to both your and our standards.
• Serving as the Ledge Lounger grammar guide for all digital content
• Developing snappy and witty brand taglines
• Reviewing the written content of team members to help speed up the approval process.
• Auditing and writing digital content for SEO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience writing SEO copy in the pool / furniture space.
• 2-4 years of copywriting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Advertising or similar field, or relevant work experience
• Work samples showcasing SEO copywriting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills; excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
• Knowledge of SEO writing and best practices.
• Quick, creative, and critical thinking.
• Strong understanding of content channels and the ability to adapt your writing style to fit each unique audience.
• Ability to be a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Openness to coaching, advice, and collaboration from team members and management.
• Ability to multi-task and tackle several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to innovate, think outside the box, and bring creative ideas to the table.
• Excellent organizational skills to keep your projects on track and on time.
