Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy in processing, and maintaining effective communication with vendors and internal departments.
Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Correspond with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices.
- Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals for payments.
- Prepare and perform payment runs, ensuring accuracy in payment processing.
- Maintain organized and updated records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable function.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role handling high volumes of invoices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (Pivot Tables & Vlookups)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
