Ledgent Technology is currently seeking a seasoned IT Aerospace Process Improvement Manager to spearhead a critical initiative focused on revolutionizing work instructions within a leading facility. This opportunity is designed as a Contract-to-Permanent role, where the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in steering a cross-functional team through a significant transformation project, leveraging their profound expertise in Scrum/Agile methodologies. The Project Manager will assume direct leadership over a team of direct reports.
The core mission of the team is to assess and overhaul existing work instructions to align with new corporate standards being introduced. The Project Manager will be responsible for enhancing the existing Project Plan, based on the Project Charter, and driving the project to successful completion. This includes delivering regular updates on project progress to stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including project, site, corporate, and customer leadership.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive development of the Project Plan, including:
Confirmation of manpower requirements.
Verification of project timelines, duration, and budgets.
Evaluation and adjustment of pre-defined KPIs to ensure accurate project health monitoring.
Effective project management until completion, involving:
Management of timelines, status updates, and development of recovery and mitigation strategies.
Identification of opportunities to accelerate project progress.
Facilitation of coordination within the organization and project teams to resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Scrum/Agile experience, with Scrum Master certification strongly preferred.
At least 5 years of proven experience in Program/Project management within the aerospace sector, particularly in a matrixed organization leading small-to-medium cross-functional teams.
Revising work instructions at large aerospace structures manufacturers, is highly desirable.
Experience leading Programs/Projects in Technical Publications within the aerospace industry is an added advantage.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in creating and managing project schedules; knowledge of MS Project and/or PMP certification is preferred.
Required experience with ERP and PLM software
