We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a great accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing, tracking, and recording financial transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that the company's A/R and A/P processes run smoothly. This role requires a blend of managerial and hands-on tasks, with a focus on maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the A/R and A/P processes.
- Balance managerial duties with individual contributions (50% manager, 50% individual contributor).
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members.
- Gather, verify, and process information for customer invoices and vendor bills.
- Ensure the timely and accurate generation of customer invoices and vendor bills.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal departments and external partners.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
- Train, mentor, and support team members in achieving their goals.
- Develop, implement, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the A/R and A/P processes.
- Act as the main point of contact for all A/R and A/P-related matters within the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute directly.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online), Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Strong professional references.
