Quality Analyst
Lee Brass is seeking for a qualified Quality Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with procedures and through systematic quality assurance techniques. Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate previous quality experience in a manufacturing facility, attention to detail, accurate reporting of information, be a team player, follow all company rules, and have the flexibility to perform other duties as required by management.
Job Duties:
· Support the maintenance and improvements of the QMS by writing or updating quality documents needed to establish controls required by ISO-9001 and OEM Customer Specifications
· Perform review for disposition, and ERP functions for non-conforming castings and defects
· Review and report Customer Returns / Complaints determining scrap/rework capabilities and data entry into ERP for WIP adjustments and Customer Satisfaction
· Investigate problems, establish disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
· Prepare technical documents including first article inspections for OEM Customer Part Submittals / Approvals
· Collaboration with manufacturing and engineering to ensure quality standards are being met
· Collaborate and investigate Root Cause / Corrective Actions to support in finding permeant solutions for product / process failures
· Demonstrate strong production floor presence in foundry environment
· Escalate concerns promptly to management
· Support Quality Manager and Quality Supervisor with daily tasks as required
Required Skills
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office / creating excel charts/graphs to track trends for data analysis
· Strong written and verbal communication skills (by phone, in person, and email)
· Analytical problem-solving skills
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings for machined and raw castings
· Proficient with measuring equipment including but not limited to: calipers, gauges, surface comparators, and faro inspection
· Following quality controls for containment and control of non-conforming material
· Proficient in writing and following detailed procedures, standardized work instructions, process control sheets
· Ability to create / post quality alerts
Experience
· 5 years in quality inspection / quality engineering under ISO-9001, AS-9100, or TS-16949
· 5 experience leading RC/CA, FAI submittals, or Technical Writing skills
