Events & Marketing Coordinator-Lincoln, NE

Marketing Coordinator The Lincoln Journal Star is seeking an individual with a passion for marketing to assist in the development and execution of unique events within the Lincoln and Omaha communities to promote our brands and sponsors. This role will be involved in planning and executing events including developing concepts and accompanying marketing materials. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: A self-starter that enjoys a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple projects. Creative problem solver that remains calm under pressure. Proven success developing experiences based on marketing strategy and program objectives. Examples of successfully working with a team on creative, content and technical requirements to ensure a smoothly run event that drives awareness and engagement. Media sales planning including sponsor asset packaging and presentation development. Proficient at communications with management, vendors, sponsors and consumers. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. 3 years’ experience working on event planning and logistics management. Strong technical skills to set up ticketing, digital promotion and support virtual event platforms. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.   We are seeking someone with three or more years of experience in event planning and experience developing marketing materials. Requirements include possessing a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, ability to drive back and forth between Lincoln and Omaha, and flexibility to work hours as needed for events that may occur outside of normal business hours.  Why Join Us?
