What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Medical Director Primary Care position at Lee Health?
Responsible to lead and practice according to common values, such as respect, trust, collaboration and commitment to clinical excellence. Responsible for providing professional guidance and oversight to primary care physicians and advanced practice providers to achieve excellence in care delivery, performance on value based contracts, and a superior patient experience. Responsible for the education, implementation of best practices, and monitoring of performance on quality metrics and HCC coding for the assigned primary care region. Promotes physician and advanced provider engagement in assigned region. Promotes Lee Health & LPG mission, vision and values in concert with the Lee Health Provider Compact.
This position will be 50% Administrative and 50% Clinical/Direct Patient Care
JOB REQUIREMENTS |
Education: Board certified Physician, clinical practice experience, and active state licensure in their discipline. |
Experience: Three years clinical practice experience. Some leadership experience preferred. Possesses skills and training commensurate with designated competencies. In good standing with the Medical Staff and state licensure board. |
Certification: Board Certified in a specialty or subspecialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) |
License: FL License required |
Other: Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues across specialties, administration, and staff. Leads by example. Focuses on teamwork. Provides growth and development to improve clinical skills and knowledge base. Emphasizes patient first philosophy and strives for excellent patient experience. |
