What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufactured Home Community Maintenance, Remodel, Repair position at Lee Villa Estates?
- Lee Villa Estates is looking for Lead Maintenance Person.
- This position is for a mobile home community called Lee Villa Estates LLC. There are multiple locations in Lenawee County; Lee Villa located in Gady Rd in Adrian, MI; Waters Edge located on Devils Lake Hwy in Manitou Beach, MI; along with individual duplexes across Adrian, MI and Tecumseh, MI.
- In each of these communities we have about 50 rental units (about 150 in total) where we are responsible for everything from furnace breakdowns, emergency water leaks (plumbing knowledge required) to cleaning up the DAMAGE left behind when tenants move out in preparation for new residents to move in. Make no mistake; the upkeep for these homes is a CONSTANT cycle of repairing everything from simple touch-up paint, trim work, scheduling carpet cleaners and cleaning persons to COMPLETELY tearing out wallboard, floors and insulation. There are also homes that will require roof repair, cabinet installation, tearing out bathtubs, water heaters/furnaces and then replacing everything – these are the tasks that our maintenance team is responsible for doing and expected to do correctly and in a timely manner.
- It is also important to be able to work alongside our team and the residents of our communities. Being able to communicate and schedule appointments with residents directly is extremely important because they look at our team as their “expert opinion” and it is important to be able to remain professional when working with residents.
- These are all activities that I hope our future maintenance person already knows how to perform because there are countless other things that I’m sure you will need to learn. I do understand that this role will always be a position of constant learning and skill improvement but I am looking for someone with an established skill level already to jump right into the position hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks.
- You must be a Jack-of-all-trades
- Carpentry, Trim, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical knowledge is required.
