Essential Functions
- Safely transports students, employees, visitors to their destinations.
- Collating and editing transport schedules based on passengers’ needs.
- Arriving at collection points prior to departure times.
- Ensuring adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
- Avoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, when possible.
- Recording and reporting all major accidents and incidents to your supervisor.
- Checking that passengers disembark at the correct destinations and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
- Observing all relevant traffic and safety laws while driving the shuttle.
- Assist with Campus Mail pickup and delivery.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
May work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, snow, ice, rain, and/or heat.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with a work schedule that may vary throughout the year.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Limited local travel utilizing a college-owned vehicle is required with this position. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in an educational or a non-profit environment.
- Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
- First Aid training.
- Excellent route planning abilities.
