Dental Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide exceptional patient care. You will assist with various dental procedures and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our patients.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, maintaining suction, and providing additional support as needed
- Take digital dental x-rays in accordance with safety protocols
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment options
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new materials as needed
-Clean work area at the end of the day

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminologies and Dentix Software preferred

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to infection control protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and providing compassionate care
- Proficiency in using dental software systems for charting and scheduling

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
