Associate Consultant- Behavioral Health

Starting Pay Range: $45-$50 per hour

Englewood, Colorado

We are growing again and looking for the right Consultant teammate!

Reporting to a Senior Consultant or directly to the Chief Consultant, the Associate Consultant will work with a limited portfolio of accounts to assist with consulting activities.

In this process, the Associate Consultant might provide information on Behavioral Health enrollment types and process of enrollment, program workflows based on credentialing level required for specific services, service codes, relative payment rate information, and billing protocols to assist client entity in navigation of systems, or program design and implementation.

Consulting Activities:

  • Meet with Behavioral health agencies to help them to identify and prioritize their needs and agree on a plan of action.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to draft a Services Agreement for client entity that complements their ideas about moving forward but also offers flexibility for pivots during the early stages of engagement.
  • Conduct BHA and other regulatory licensure activities, including submitting licensing applications, drafting policies for the specific rule language, advising on rules around the licensing type.
  • Meet with client entity to identify intended services and their commensurate Service Codes as well as Enrollment Type that drives those codes.
  • Advise on Enrollments required to conduct the identified services and collaborate on Services Agreement for Enrollments project.
  • Train client entity on documentation requirements for the intended services including prior authorizations and treatment planning and sessions notes.
  • Occasionally research Medicaid rules in Colorado or other states to assist agencies with expansion plans.
  • Help providers to identify new program opportunities relevant to their service area and assist with program development within regulatory parameters
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing findings and recommendations
  • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any questions or concerns
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Follow up with client entity in writing to solidify the training or guidance offered virtually.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships internal and external to the organization.

Required Experience:

  • Background in behavioral health preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Training or experience with compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Experience researching government material on rules and regulations and synthesizing into actionable information for stakeholders.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
