Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Administrator. As a Business Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of our school. You will direct the school’s financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationships with lending institutions, and the school community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates while supporting the school’s mission.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Special Knowledge / Skills: Professional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience: 5 or more years of professional financial management accounting using Quick Books software for three of those years

Direct Supervision Over: Administrative assistant
Senior Administrative Leadership:
- Contributes to the strategic planning process, especially as it relates to the budgetary and other financial needs and expectations.
- Supervises the execution of LCA’s financial plans, the integrity of accounts, and the accuracy of reports through the Head of School and Board Treasurer to the School Board and other constituencies.
- Serves as a member of the Leadership Team and also the Crisis Management Team.
- Serves as a member of the Financial Assistance Committee and maintains all records of awards
- Attends board meetings as required by the Head of School.
Department Responsibilities:
- Supervises the management of all funds associated with or belonging to LCA.
- Ensure proper implementation of LCA’s financial policies and all other legal requirements.
- Controls and tracks annual budgets and expenditures.
- Provides monthly Financial Reporting to the School Director and Board Treasurer and any other items upon request.
- Compiles information needed to prepare quarterly and annual business tax returns (i.e. Form 941, Form 940, Form 990, Form 5500).
- Supervises the tasks of tuition collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, human resources, classroom and textbook inventories.
- Under the School Board’s direction, ensures legal compliance in tax, accounting and other reporting or disclosure issues which includes monthly, quarterly, and annually tax reporting.
- Ensures legal compliance in all employment issues relating to compensation and employment status.
- Supervises and reviews all contracts with outside vendors.
- Supervises accounting of gifts and tax related correspondence with donors.
- Other duties as assigned.
