What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Specialist position at Legacy Healthcare Services?
Summary: Promote, educate, and build awareness of Legacy Healthcare Services (LHS) within assigned communities and territories throughout Northern Virginia to increase market revenue and continue the development of LHS market share.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and establishes a key targeted community outreach plan that will result in effective market coverage and solid return on time invested.
- Implements account development strategies that increase caseloads as well as the organization’s market position and competitive edge within partnering communities.
- Establishes and maintains contacts and relationships with LHS customer base, hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, rehab departments, surgery centers, Ortho Clinics, home health agencies, community resources and others appropriate to assure and assist with resident referrals to LHS outpatient settings.
- Prepares and conducts presentations and In-services regarding LHS to organizations where prospective clients and/or referral sources might be reached or influenced.
- Increases community awareness of LHS to support sales, recruitment, new referrals and census retention through marketing and involvement in local community groups, networking activities and participation in charitable and humanitarian efforts.
- Builds effective and collaborative relationships with LHS customer-site personnel, LHS Rehab Directors, LHS Area Managers and LHS RDOs to coordinate patient/resident visits though the healthcare system, promote activities and events within assigned Customer-sites and assist with other Customer-Site marketing needs as required.
- Assists with patient-care intake and coordination of services as needed.
- Uses contact management system to track and report on activity as well as monitor account development status and plan next steps; reviews reports and activity with supervisor on regular basis.
- Meets with appropriate managers to monitor customer service levels and review identified target accounts with the end goal of meeting both individual Customer-Site resident return goals and overall company market development goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or closely related subject OR equivalent work experience and training.
- Three (3) to five (5) years successful marketing, business development or sales experience with comparable customers within health care services.
- Excellent communication skills required, both oral and written
- Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to accomplish goals and meet deadlines
- Computer and internet literacy.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and/or evening hours as needed.
- Ability to drive locally and travel frequently within assigned region. Occasionally travel to outside regions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
