Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

We are adding an additional lawn maintenance crew to our Winter Haven, FL location and are looking for VERY experienced lawn maintenance individual who is ready to grow with us and provide the excellent quality and customer service that our clients have come to expect from us and what we are known for. We are looking for a lawn maintenance crew leader who will directly supervise and work side by side with their ground guys with tasks such as lawn maintenance, clean-ups, mulching, pruning, trimming, hand pulling weeds, leaf removal, and other related tasks. The crew leader will work as hard as the ground guys as well as providing the leadership, experience, and skills necessary to deliver a quality finished product and excellent customer service. The crew leader is responsible for interaction with the clients, safety of the team, and the success of the projects. The ideal candidate has the willingness to work in all types of weather until the job is done as well as some Saturdays as needed to complete weather delayed projects.

The ideal Crew Leader must be a team player who is self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, responsible and detail oriented. Must have good leadership and problem solving skills, is fully committed to customer service and able to maintain a professional, positive and charismatic demeanor at all times. We want an individual who desires a long-term position where they can grow and advance.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities for Crew Leader:

• Ability to lead, train and direct co-workers and communicate with clients
• Ensure all projects are completed within guidelines, budgets, and work hours
• Build and uphold a culture of professionalism by adhering to the company core values
• Properly care for and maintain all equipment assigned to the crew.
• Adhere to company policies, standards and safety guidelines.
• Effectively drive and back-up a truck and trailer combination.
• Keep work vehicles and equipment clean and organized
• Properly care for and maintain all equipment assigned to the crew including a current service log for assigned vehicle and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience for Crew Leader position:

• Have a current valid Florida Drivers License
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be experienced in running a residential mow route
• Experienced in leading and managing multiple people
• 3 years combined industry experience in lawn maintenance
• Proficient in the use of all commercial zero turns, walk behind and hand held equipment
• Experienced in pruning, edging, mowing, and other lawn maintenance tasks
• Experienced in driving a pickup truck and trailer
• Be able to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs or more on occasion
• Be able to pass a background check have a good driving record
• We conduct pre-employment drug screens and background checks.
• THERE WILL BE A SKILLS TEST ON THE EQUIPMENT AND DRIVING TRUCK AND TRAILER

*TYPICAL DAY STARTS AT 6:00AM AND WILL FINISH WHEN ALL THE SERVICE JOBS FOR THE DAY ARE DONE, SO THERE IS NO SET TIME YOU WILL BE DONE EACH DAY. DEPENDING ON WEATHER AND JOBS YOU COULD END UP WORKING A 10-12 HOUR DAY AT TIMES.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
