The Maintenance Director functions to oversee, maintain, and repair the equipment, operating systems, structure, and grounds of the community. Maintenance Director Job Profile
- Making daily rounds of the facility, addressing any malfunctions for prompt repair
- Ensuring prompt, skilled attention to maintenance problems and work orders
- Troubleshooting numerous pieces of equipment as needed
- Assisting in maintaining and creating department budgets
- Scheduling maintenance, bids, and overseeing outside contracts
- Maintaining important records, data, and paperwork
- Supervising other employees within the Maintenance department as needed
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Other duties as assigned
Maintenance Director Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as Maintenance Director, preferably in a senior living capacity
- Working knowledge of chemicals and how to properly use, store, and dispose of them
- Ability to move quickly, safely, and remain calm in case of an emergency
- Ability to have a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work, while ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with standard power tools and equipment
