Job Title: Training and Development Coordinator

Department: Quality

Reports To: Director of Safety, Security, and Training

PRIMARY PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY

The Training and Development Coordinator oversees all activities that are related to the training and development of both Teammates To Triumphs (temporary employees) and Legacy Legends (Full Time Employees). This individual will be a key face of the company while injecting positivity into our existing culture that is the Legacy Family. The Training and Development Coordinator is expected to fully comply and enforce all cGMP guidelines, as well as with the standards and policies of Legacy Pharma Solutions.

This role plays a major part in employee training/performance beyond the scope of New Employee Orientation by ensuring follow-up training is performed by ensuring that safety, quality and throughput are maximized as well as in compliance. Will lead by example in following the Do It Right the First Time philosophy during all training sessions to create a safe, customer-based focus, and positive work environment that is dialed-in on meeting the performance expectations of all stakeholders.

Key factors and responsibilities to this position will include but not be limited to ensuring all personnel are trained appropriately per cGMP’s to maximize compliance and productivity. Also, the Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to Production Supervision by ensuring alignment with all staffing and standard work practices, as well as all safety and quality requirements.

Major emphasis will be placed towards a high level of organization in the tracking of all previously performed and in-process training requirements. This will occur by collaborating with the Training and Development Manager, Production Supervisors, as well as with Safety, Quality, Engineering Maintenance, and Warehouse Management teams. This will aid in maintaining a high level of performance, compliance, and sense of urgency during forecasted, in-process, and post training scenarios.

Participates in the development and implementation of new training opportunities and presentations stemming from new challenges to meet productivity, safety, quality, company, and client satisfaction goals. Exhibits high level communication and functionality by publishing detailed work plans and status reports. Attends all pertinent meetings and is responsible for timely deliverables. Will utilize informal influence in the development and performance of Mentorship programs as well as in all Legacy University curriculum by us using PowerPoint and other training tools within the Training and Development team for timely executions.

  3. Demonstrates dependability and full commitment to the organization, the Training and Development Team, as well as the Production Department by maintaining an acceptable attendance record.
  4. Leads by example in every work task as a key face of Legacy Pharma Solutions.
  5. All group and individual training presentations and sessions will be conducted in compliance with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
  6. Follows detailed curriculum to provide proper advisement, instruction, & motivation to all Legacy Legends and Teammates To Triumphs as they are introduced into the Legacy Family and beyond.
  7. Fosters a safety culture that is driven by hazard recognition and mitigation towards resolution.
  8. Works closely with stakeholders to identify potential hazards or safety risks to employees and proactively implements corrective actions to mitigate the hazards or risks.
  9. Complies with all cGMPs and SOPs in both a Conference Room and an FDA regulated pharmaceutical packaging environment by ensuring product integrity, safety and quality compliance with the highest of standards.
  10. Collaborates and participates in activities within a cross functional team consisting of Training and Development, Human Resources, Security and Safety, Quality, Engineering, Packaging, Maintenance, and Warehouse employees.
  11. Works efficiently and with a sense of urgency for the duration of all training activities.
  12. Works effectively with appropriate departments to plan and execute training objectives to meet the requirements of the cross-functioning team and stakeholders.
  13. Participates in the development and integration of new training related processes, procedures, and policies as part of Legacy’s Continuous Improvement culture.
  14. Ensures all documentation is completed and continuously tracked in a timely and accurate manner.
  15. Participates in making training additions and improvements while consistently promoting a team environment within the Production Department.
  16. Utilizes software applications to create and manage reporting documents and business tools for measuring training performance.
  17. Develops and performs new trainings and presentations by utilizing PowerPoint and other training aids.
  18. Become a leadership advocate for all Legacy University systems and Mentorship programs.
  19. Assists and performs administrative duties (attendance and staffing) for the Shift Supervisor on an as needed basis.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  1. The Training and Development Coordinator shall be held accountable for the compliance, accuracy and timeliness of assigned work and responsibilities.
  2. The Training and Development Coordinator shall be held accountable for the enforcement of compliance requirements, including cGMP, housekeeping and documentation.
  3. The Training and Development Coordinator shall be held accountable for meeting all training related timelines.
  4. The Training and Development Coordinator shall be held accountable for achieving or exceeding Training KPI targets that are to be determined as this department and role is further developed and established.
  5. The Training and Development Coordinator shall be held accountable for supporting the Shift Supervisor and Lead Operators in developing and maintaining a capable, motivated team of which positive communication and customer-centricity are a part of the team norms and culture. Developing and maintaining the team includes the ensuring that team members complete documented training to be proficient at his or her job tasks.
  6. The Training and Development Coordinator shall be held accountable for setting expectations, employee engagement/training, and the supporting the performance management of team members by the Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two-year associate degree or technical school training is preferred.
  • 1 years’ experience in a high volume, fast paced packaging or production environment.
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish strongly preferred but not required
  • Experience with and working knowledge of project management tools. Project management certification preferred, but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills. Lead by example.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including relationship management, conflict resolution skills, and technical writing proficiency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to train others
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work any shift, as assigned by management.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, if required by business needs.
  • Able to stand and walk for 8 hours.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Proven customer service focus with outstanding people skills.
  • Must have highly disciplined work habits, intense attention to detail, and highest level of commitment to preventing errors and meeting deadlines.
