Overview
We are looking for a Site Manager for our Earth Class Mail Beaverton, OR location. Earth Class Mail is a LegalZoom company and the leader in office mail automation for over a decade. It provides businesses with the most efficient and secure way to deal with physical mail. As our world inches closer to becoming completely digital, we solve a problem faced by most businesses today, especially those receiving important, time-sensitive mail, or mail received on behalf, or in service, of their clients.
You will manage a team of 50 hourly employees to consistently delight our customer, through flawless execution of our mail operations and by promoting a safe and inclusive working environment. You will oversee a team that deals with millions of mail items that are digitized, scanned, and processed. This team also processes and deposits thousands of checks weekly for our customers. At an individual level you will contribute to overall business initiatives, tackling complex problems that affect customers and work to resolve them with innovative solutions.
You will
- Manage and build a high performing team of 50 mail operators and supervisors across multiple shifts
- Lead delivery of all targeted business plan metrics across productivity, quality, cost, safety, and people
- Maintain health and safety standards and promote a positive health and safety culture on site
- Manage labor planning, quality improvements, and process changes to enable Operations to attain our business plan
- Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures
- Maintain a complete leadership overview and thorough understanding of mail volumes
- Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations for all direct and cross functional reports
- Work effectively with support staff (HR, Compliance, IT Manager and Engineering) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
You have
- 5 years of relevant experience in an operations leadership role in manufacturing / logistics / supply chain
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- General Manager experience, managing a large group facility (ideally 50 ) with a large hourly workforce
- Experience operating in large scale, rapid and process-driven environments, including facing seasonal operational peaks and strong growth
- Ability to recruit, motivate, lead, and retain key employees
- Proven ability to onboard and maintain a contingent workforce
- Possess excellent business judgment, able to step back and look at long term vision for the department growth
- Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and solid analytical skill capability to look at and find solutions for a variety of operational challenges
- Demonstrated experience and passion around employee engagement and driving high performance work teams
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high-energy team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
For onsite roles or roles that require periodic onsite visits, LegalZoom requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
