Remote-first
Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.
At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

Overview
The Social Media Lead will join the Brand & Creative team within LegalZoom’s Marketing organization and will be the company’s subject matter expert in all things social. They will be responsible for the health of the channels, will realize the overarching social strategy, will oversee the day-to-day operations, and will develop content calendars with highly engaging and best-in-class content that manifests our brand voice. They will have their finger on the pulse on emerging and culturally relevant trends across various social media channels, as well as a solid understanding of our brand and product priorities in order to ensure content is trustworthy, relatable, and empowering for our target audience. They will be equal parts art and science when it comes to strategy across creative and social channels.
You will
- Execute the social media strategy that is currently in development and drive future strategies based on historical learnings, business priorities, and social media trends
- Share dashboards, audience insights, and industry news with marketing teams and leadership to demonstrate channel health, community engagement, test-and-learn opportunities, and relay audience insights to relevant cross-functional teams
- Develop and maintain a content strategy, concepts, and content calendar based on objectives, audience insights, trends, and best practices
- Write creative briefs and collaborate with copywriters, designers, and art directors within the Brand & Creative team to bring ideas to life
- Ensure all brand guidelines are met from a tone and visual identity perspective
- Operationalize the content development process in collaboration with our executive producer, social media manager, and creative operations team
- Collaborate with customer care and sales teams to educate them on best practices, share audience insights, and ensure LegalZoom has a consistent brand voice across communications on social
- Be digitally and socially savvy when it comes to the latest developments in trends, innovation, and new features across social media channels
- 7-10 years of experience within social media whether it be at a brand, agency, social media company
- A portfolio of social media content to share along with results and data of initiatives
- Experience working in a cross-functional and matrixed corporate environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strive for operational excellence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to set priorities on a daily basis and juggle multiple projects at once
- Ability to lead with limited supervision and direction
- A spirit of inquiry, curiosity, and entrepreneurship–which allows you to be comfortable operating with limited information and/or ambiguity
- Remote Employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth to support all work processes
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($126,000-176,000). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
