PV Designer
Legend Energy Group is seeking a Residential Solar Photovoltaic Engineer Designer to join our family. In this role, you will support project teams by designing integrated PV and battery systems, creating the layout and electrical configuration of photovoltaic and energy storage systems, and ensuring compliance with NEC and local government regulations in
Utah and Idaho.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Designing solar PV and energy storage systems: You will create detailed designs for solar PV and battery systems for residential applications, including the layout and electrical configuration of the system. You will use software tools such as AutoCAD and other design software to create accurate and optimized designs.
● Supporting project teams: You will work closely with project teams, including engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that solar PV systems are designed to meet client needs, meet all applicable codes and regulations, and are optimized for maximum energy generation and efficiency.
● Coordinating with local government: You will ensure that solar PV and battery systems comply with local regulations in Utah and Idaho, including working with county, city, and municipal authorities as necessary.
● Preparing project documentation: You will create detailed technical specifications, drawings, and other documentation necessary to communicate the solar PV system design to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
● Collaborating with other team members: You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that solar PV designs are compatible with other aspects of the project, such as structural engineering and electrical design.
● Staying up-to-date with industry developments: You will stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in the solar PV industry, including changes in regulations, new products, and emerging technologies.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in solar PV design and be familiar with relevant codes and regulations. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
● 3 years of experience in solar PV design and engineering
● Familiarity with AutoCAD and other solar PV design software
● Strong understanding of electrical and structural engineering principles
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations, including NEC and local government regulations in Utah and Idaho.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
