Job Description:
The Cage Manager will be responsible for the safeguarding and accountability of the overall Main Bank/Cage operations, to include counting and the verification of all funds within the Cage environment. Responsibilities also include supervising the Main Bank/Cage team members for optimum staffing levels; and ensuring financial transactions are recorded within policy and regulatory guidelines.
Job Requirements:
- Directly responsible for physical control of all funds within the Main Bank and Cage system to include accountability of all non-gaming receipts while maintaining adequate currency to ensure Casino Cage demands.
- Enforce check cashing policies and review daily cash receipts and disbursements through Main Bank and Cage.
- Oversee preparation of bank deposits.
- Maintain an adequate amount of each denomination of dollars within the Main Bank and Cage.
- Manage and supervise all cage supervisors.
- Interview, hire, train, counsel, and evaluate all team members, when necessary.
- Plan budgets and schedule staff necessary to meet operational needs of the Casino.
- Strong working knowledge of Title 31 requirements while enforcing gaming policies and procedures, including systems of internal control and ensure all team members are trained properly.
- Might be required to work any of the 3 shifts.
- Ability to do return checks and deal with the collection agency.
- Deal with local companies to put their payroll check on file with us.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience in Casino Cage, Casino Credit and/or Finance related operations.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong knowledge of Regulation Title 31 and all State regulatory and Internal Controls procedures.
- Must be perceptive and analytical with the ability to induce cooperation in complex organizational relationships; respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guest.
- Must have decision making capabilities, experience in directing others, planning with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills required with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.
- Must have the ability to responsibly monitor alcohol consumption to ensure the safety of our guest.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Must be flexible and able to work all shifts and weekends.
