PARTS CLERK
We, at LPFP - Salisbury, a Leggett & Platt company, are searching for a Parts Clerk within our Management team. We have been manufacturing carpet underlay for over 22 years and are considered a full-scale recycler.

As a Parts Clerk you will have the opportunity to assist the Maintenance Department with purchasing needed material, inventory of current parts, creating purchase orders and keeping track of all purchases, maintaining stock levels, and conducting monthly inventory.
Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that facility has the necessary parts to run efficiently.
The team you will be working with collaborates to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Obtain quotes and authorization from vendors for PO’s and CC purchases if applicable.
- Order parts / supplies / products and arrange for delivery or Pick-Up in a suitable time frame.
- Run necessary errands for parts and supplies from local vendors.
- Maintain good relationships with ALL vendors; keep-updated information on active vendors.
- Receive packages shipped from vendors; perform data entry concerning receivables.
- Verify received parts with purchase orders or CC receipts; match packing-lists with purchase orders; forward to Accounts Payable
- Control Access databases for purchase orders and parts inventory
- Use EPS to create requisitions / POs for purchases over $1,000, if less than $1,000, use the CC.
- Responsible for keeping trailers in good repair, update spreadsheet and keep files complete and UpToDate with all necessary information.
- Test samples to submit for Monthly FHA Test (L&P internal).
- Submit antimicrobial samples for testing twice a year.
- Purchase & mix chemicals for antimicrobial.
- Purchase wall pad & cow bun items (pallets, carboard sheets, etc.).
- Purchase & monitor daily all raw materials for Finishing Production (film, netting, bags, tapes, etc.).
- Unload truck deliveries for films, dyes, netting, etc.
- Inventory audits monthly on Finishing raw materials.
- Purchase, schedule delivery and unload all chemical tankers.
- P-card reconciliations monthly.
- Purchase dye colors for Mold Production
- Schedule, drain and load recycled dye totes for recycling.
- Update MSDS, records for L&P requirements for all new materials above.
- Measure chemicals for storage tanks daily.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and do advanced math.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.
- Must be able to change from one task to another frequently.
- Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of D365 for creation of requisitions.
Things we consider a plus :
