As a Plant Manager you will have the opportunity to monitor shift production, product quality, shipping, employee safety, and inventories. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by improving efficiencies and making decisions to meet financial targets. So, what will you be doing as a Plant Manager?
- Ensure the plant is running as efficiently as possible while meeting customer demands
- Assist Supervisors and Leads in directing their departments
- Plan and monitor raw material inventory
- Manage finished goods inventory
- Monitor shift production, product quality, shipping, employee safety, and machine maintenance for inefficiencies
- Assist in managing workflow by planning, monitoring, and executing targeted job results
- Work with production and shipping teams to develop, plan and execute continuous improvement initiatives
- Encourage safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel
- Achieve acceptable quality requirements
- Improve efficiency, productivity and reduce scrap to achieve product cost targets
- Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent.
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage in a busy, fast paced environment that is rapidly changing
- Integrity and ethical standards to properly safeguard confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, etc.
Things we consider a plus:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field
- Proven skills with Lean/Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement disciplines
