Job Posting for Senior Medical Librarian at Lehigh Valley Health Network
Summary
Develops and coordinates the production of written documentation (online and in-person courses) and publications to address information literacy, infomastery, and evidence-based practice. Monitors library services resources including awareness plans, gap analysis, and troubleshooting. Performs expert searching and provides consultative services. Provides web content, data management systems, and media objects supporting health information resources. Demonstrates a collaborative perspective regarding other members of the care team including, but not limited to, clinical inpatient staff, outpatient clinics, and community based physician practice. Works at any LVHN network site, as required.
Education - Required:
Master's Degree in library science, education, instructional design, information science, or relevant field

Master's Degree in library science
Experience - Required:
2 years of experience in library services-related areas in a healthcare setting. and
2 years of experience in literature searching for clinical and research documents such as meta-analysis, systematic reviews, clinical practice guidelines and
2 years of research, design, and writing publications for information literacy/ mastery and
1 year of experience in design and development of library instructional materials.
Experience - Preferred:
3 years of experience in library services-related areas in a healthcare setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
Knowledge of medical terminology, Medline, CINAHL, and other healthcare databases.
Strong technical skills in software for resource management and troubleshooting, website maintenance, course creation, databases, repository, image creation, and online learning.
Understanding of educational needs analysis, application of learning theory, and evaluation methods for measuring learning outcomes.
Certifications - Preferred:
Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) within 1 Year
