Azure Cloud Architect

Description

The Leidos Health & Civil sector is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to support a state Medicaid program that will assist in modernizing Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) architecture with a modular System Integration Platform (SIP) and integration services. The ideal candidate must be a strong architect with Azure credentials and Azure DevOps tools experience to implement the development, test, and production systems and processes, energetic and self-motivated, able to guide and mentor technical professionals, and with a value-driven and customer-centric mindset.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contribute to technical architecture, implementation, and operational management of Azure cloud platform.

• Collaborate with other cloud architects to deploy consistent architectural framework across all cloud platforms.

• Participate in various technical and architectural discussion both within the team, across organization and clients.

• Designing, building, testing, automating, and supporting the migration of workloads to Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure

• Leading technical discussion and direction in a collaborative team environment, including architecture, estimation, solution planning and use case creation.

• Apply industry best practices and patterns across infrastructure and application components e.g. security, elasticity, performance.

• Documentation of solutions (e.g. architecture, configuration, and setup)

• Support users in resolving issues by troubleshooting, providing workarounds, or escalating to technology management.

Required Qualifications:

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification

• 7 years' experience with architecting, executing and supporting an Azure cloud environment.

• Experience designing, configuring, and administering Azure cloud enterprise implementations using compute cloud resources such as Virtual Machines, Scale sets, Azure containers or Kubernetes, and Cloud Services.

• Strong experience with Azure tools such as Azure DevOps, Repos, Pipelines, and Boards.

• Experienced in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Software as a service (SaaS) Cloud Hosting Architecture /Design patterns to meet scalability, capacity, availability, performance, storage, cost, and application/platform requirements.

• Experience with DevSecOps practices including IaC, CI/CD pipeline, and automated deployment.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and maintenance of production applications in Azure cloud.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MES Modernization projects.

• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools.

• Experience with agile development.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology

• Experience with cloud implementations of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration products.
