Leidos Digital Modernization team is looking for Senior Network Administrator to support the Air Force?s U.S. Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System Extended (BICES-X) program in Doral, FL. This is on-site position that does not allow for telework.
US BICES-X is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current emerging global threats to mission and coalition partner nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions.
What will you do in this role?
Provide advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel
Identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents and problems.
Provide network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Establish network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Evaluate, administer, and maintain voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
Manage the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks
Maintain network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.
Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Maintain network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
Participate in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
Assist with development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.
Provide Tier I-II support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
U.S. Citizenship with an Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Possess a completed CCNA certification upon hire.
Meet DoD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment associated with USBICES.
Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
Experience working directly with hardware vendors involved in the incident resolution process.
Experience with STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities.
Experience using Network management tools and concepts.
Experience with distributed network environment.
Experience with Cisco routers and switches, supporting DOD networks.
Experience with creating network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
Experience with twisted pair cable, Patch Panels, and other layer 1 maintenance and installation.
The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
Be willing to be on-call for troubleshooting and support.
Be willing to perform systems maintenance duties after-hours and on weekends.
Be willing to work shift work, weekends, and holidays when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).
Knowledge and experience with Juniper Junos OS (SRX series)
Completed CCNP Enterprise & or CCNP Security
Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus series switches
Knowledge of Cisco ISR (1000, 4000 series) and Catalyst (8000 series) routers
Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets
Knowledge of Cisco Firepower series firewalls and or Palo Alto Firewalls.
Knowledge (to include instillation) of Type 1 Encryption: e.g. KG-175, KG-250
Knowledge of configuration of Cisco IOS, Cisco IOS-XE, and NX-OS
Knowledge of network management applications including Solarwinds
Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices
Knowledge and experience with Multicast and GRE Routing
Knowledge of Virtualization technologies as they apply to networking: VMware
Understanding of network virtualization
Knowledge and experience with data center networking
Knowledge and experience with VoIP/VTC collaboration systems
Cisco VoIP experience desired

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
