Your Main Objective:
- Design and integrate various functions of network equipment into functional systems using international, U.S., and military standards.
- Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- Evaluate new network technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
- Integrate appropriate installation hardware such as equipment racks and necessary cabling.
- Document equipment layout, taking into account power, cooling, security and functionality.
- Perform end-to-end systems testing.
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 6-years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
- Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
- Ensure all network systems are monitored and follow the latest governance and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams, stakeholders and vendors regarding network design and/or approaches for ensuring all network systems are up to date
- Experience in configuring and fault isolation of network devices using multiple routing and networking protocols (e.g. BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, ACLs, etc.)
- Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
You Might Also Have:
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
- Firewall configuration and security policies involving objects, rules, NATs, etc.
- Utility program development using BASH scripts
- Familiarity with security mandates like STE/STN
- Data center management experience

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
