Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to support intramural human use research at the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory (NAMRL), Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton, OH (NAMRU-D). This position supports human research on the performance, resilience, and wellness of service members to optimize warfighting effectiveness in the most trying environments. The successful candidate will provide management and oversight of NAMRL logistics and operations, managing numerous operational research support functions within the directorate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of NAMRL operations, facility, materials, and resource utilization to ensure efficiency of day-to-day activities.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Liaison with NAMRU-D Command Facilities Officer for NAMRL facilities issues (space needs, reconfigurations, minor construction).
- Provide oversight and coordination for material and resource needs, planning inventory, and overseeing efficiency.
- Manage equipment inventory.
- Provide maintenance and oversight of NAMRL operating instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage execution of NAMRL operational plans and programs per Directors guidance
- Formulate strategy, improve performance, ensure procurement of material and resources, and secure compliance in support of daily operations.
- Formulate and participate in the implementation of strategic and operational objectives.
- Perform quality controls and monitor performance efficiency.
- Ensure continuous identification and implementation of operational best practice through interaction with the wider team
Basic Qualifications
- MA/MS plus 10 years of relevant physiology and engineering experience
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship is required
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Task oriented and able to respond independently and systematically to accomplish operational needs.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00
