The Civil Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer to work in our Ladson, SC facility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.
The SQE is responsible for delivering all aspects of the Supplier Quality Assurance function. The SQE reports directly to the SES Program Quality Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform internal, external and supplier audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards, create audit finding reports, determine/initiate appropriate corrective and preventative actions and close out audit findings.
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues to include issuing Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR)
- Develop and improve processes and procedures to meet and exceed acceptable quality levels for supplier performance standards.
- Understand requirements and assist with ensuring appropriate flow down into the supply chain. Work closely with functional managers, cross-functional staff, and key subcontractors to ensure quality outputs, aiming to minimize the costs of rework, waste, and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Support the development and collection of performance metrics.
- Provide timely metrics and audit outcomes to Quality Management to gauge progress towards quality objectives.
- Develop weekly and monthly reports that provide measurements with trends over time and highlights performance issues with mitigation strategies.
- Report quality status and quality issues, with resolution plans, to Quality Management
- Establish and maintain strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders ensuring that the objectives are understood and incorporated into a framework of continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all standards, Leidos policies, and best practices.
- Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
- Ability to support domestic and international travel.
- Oversee the SES Non-conforming Material Process & Material Review Board (MRB) for their specific site.
- Other duties as required and or assigned by Program Quality Manager
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 yrs relevant experience or Master's degree with 2 years experience. Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Formal auditor training
- Be able to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the Power Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Formal auditor training
- Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt

Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $119,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
