Description
We are seeking candidates with Windows and Linux server administration skills to perform system design, build, integration, deployment, and maintenance. You will work in a highly collaborative team environment with system administrators and security professionals to support multiple secure programs within a Leidos facility.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, build, integrate, harden, deploy, and maintain bare metal and virtual clients, servers, and networked systems.
Develop solutions to complex technical issues that impact multiple IT disciplines.
Effectively use automated hardening and scanning tools such as Ansible, Nessus, and Splunk.
Perform system analysis for purposes of performance optimization, catastrophe mitigation, and security compliance.
Collaborate with software developers to ensure systems meets functional requirements.
Support IT security activities to include security compliance reviews and auditing requirements.
Perform software configuration management using Artifactory repositories.
Basic Qualifications
Possess or ability to obtain a security 8570 certification with 6 months employment.
Bachelor of Science in Technical field and at least 8 years of relevant work experience, or a master’s with 6-10 years of experience.
Additional year’s experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD SECRET clearance.
Experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls families.
Experience with core infrastructure services administration such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and File Server administration.
Experienced in systems build, integration, hardening, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex system problems.
Experienced in deploying Operating System images in a variety of mediums (PXE-network, disk image, automated installation media with answer scripts).
Experience administering Windows, Linux, Networking/Switch, and Virtualized Machines
Ability to create simple Linux and PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
Ability to collaborate within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with managing a software repository.
Perform research necessary to resolve complex technical problems
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in Linux and Power Shell scripting.
Windows and Linux patching and apply operating system updates.
Experienced in system hardening based upon NIST 800-53 framework controls.
Experience supporting dual-boot bare metal configuration with individual virtualized environments.
