Armed Cannabis Security Officer

Job Overview

Leiffa, located in Lakewood, CO is a thriving cannabis company seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our security team for 40 hours a week. The right candidate for this role must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and team player, with an attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow.

This position is scheduled to work Wednesday-Saturday . Paid tryouts are held, and if hired there is a 60-day probationary period to demonstrate productivity.
Responsibilities and Duties

• Preventing illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high visibility presence

• Patrolling assigned buildings, facilities, and perimeters on foot or by a patrol vehicle

• Maintain constant communication with management and their employees by keeping all parties in the assigned area up to date on current policies and company rules

• Monitoring alarm systems and video surveillance systems when an assigned site is permitted

• Investigate and respond to suspicious activities and disturbances and inform dispensary and security management timely

• Locking buildings, businesses and other designated areas per management needs

• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers if needed and according to SOP

• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures

• Ensure the Security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises

• Adhere to all company service and operating standards

• Able to coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies during emergencies

• The employee will have to provide shoes and pants and any other equipment they would like to carry, which is allowed for the job sites

Qualifications

• Must be able to keep a positive attitude at all times while in uniform and on job sites

• Must be able to take shifts with short notice as needed

• Officers must have true open availability

• People with a strong background Law enforcement, Military, and Security are strongly encouraged to apply

• For Dispensary Armed sites, guards must have the following: Must have or be able to obtain an active MED license (in the state of Colorado) and be willing work various shifts pertaining to the clients needs

• Must provide your own body armor, firearm, duty belt and level 2 or higher holster

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is required

• The ability to stand for long periods, work in any weather, and sit, bend, and lift to 40 pounds, if not more, depends on the situation

• Ability to work any and all shifts, Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
